Mara is a Scottish and Irish Gaelic word meaning “the Sea” or “Ocean”. This  collection is all about the ever changing colours of the sea as weather and tide changes . Using Vitreous enamel that is painted by hand and fired at 800 degrees Celsius in a kiln. Enamel is basically powdered glass that fuses to the metal as it’s fired. There are many techniques and they have all been used for many centuries. The shades of colours will vary slightly due to their hand fired nature.
