Sea Ribbons

Sea Ribbons is my newest collection of jewellery made using Mitsuro Hikime an ancient Japanese technique. Each piece has been created first using Mitsuro wax and then cast in metal using the Lost Wax casting Method. Using this wax creates striations in the wax model and comes out beautifully in metal.  When I first saw Mitsuro wax being worked reminded me of strands of seaweed washed up on the shore and dried by the sun into little beautiful sculptures from the sea. Each piece is truly unique.
