Silver Maerl Aquamarine Ear Studs
Graceful and delicate in solid silver these earrings are cast from a piece of Mearl Coral found on an Orkney beach. Set with a beautiful pale blue-green Aquamarines.
Aquamarine is the birthstone for March.
Mearl is a red algae that is very slow growing (1 mm per year) It deposits calcium in its cell wall and looks like coral when found on the shore. They form beautiful little shapes like knobbly little branches.
Diameter is approximately 12-15 mm.
Comes in a gift box ready to be presented to that special person!
All online orders also come in a paper gift bag with a polishing cloth, jewellery care instructions and a small organza bag of seashells collected from my local beach.
