Not just one of my main inspirations for my jewellery. I love foraging for it and cooking with it too. Spring is perfect for seaweed foraging with some strong tides. This really long one on photo is Sugar Kelp. One if my favourites as it can be used for so many things. It’s a real tonic for the soul to be out on the low water. So much to look at that is usually under water. Luckily my youngest son loves foraging to and he also gets into the rock pools for some crabbing at the same time. Perfect Sunday afternoon.

That sugar kelp is spectacular – especially backlit by the sun at the horizon. Do you make salad or soup with it?
Wasn’t it just! I have used it mostly dried as a topping and also made into crisps. Yet to try soup.
