She sells sea shells…she sells sea shells on the seashore….how fast can you say it? Here is my collection of seashell pendants so far. They are all made from recycled silver using traditional techniques.
This year during lockdown I set myself a challenge every week. It started being on a Friday where I had to using only materials I already had, mostly offcuts create a piece by just letting my imagination flow. I am a very keen shell hunter and so lucky living in a place with several glorious beaches with a big variety of shells. Instead of replicating shells in silver by having them moulded I started experimenting recreating them completely with my own artistic licence but trying to make them as “life like” as possible.
Here is A Limpet Shell with a moonstone, Cockle shell and Topaz and my favourite shell to find, Canoe shell with a small Topaz too. I am going to try carry on doing this weekly challenge for as long as I can.
Love your shell jewellery, you’ve got me hooked on shell hunting too!
That’s great! I look forward seeing your finds!
